Applicable to Single-phase split and unitary air conditioners of the vapour compression type for household use up to a rated cooling capacity of 11 kW only. Multi-split systems (i.e., those having more than one indoor unit with an independent control for each indoor unit) and Evaporative coolers or any other cooling systems that are not of the vapour compression type are not covered in this scheme.

The energy labelling scheme covers 4 feet tubular fluorescent lamps for wattages up to 40W and 6500K colour temperature for halo-phosphates and 6500K, 4000K & 2700K for tri-phosphate category.

The schedule specifies the energy labelling requirements for self-ballasted non-directional general purpose LED lamps for general lighting services working on single phase AC up to and including 250V. This schedule does not covers self-ballasted LED-lamps that intentionally produce tinted or colored light neither does it cover OLEDs.

This schedule specifies the energy requirements for single-phase split air conditioners of the vapour compression type up to a rated cooling capacity of 11 kW. Casette, Floor Standing Tower, Ceiling, Corner AC up to 3 Ton capacity are included.
