The TEC has established two Wi-Fi standards: one for operation in the 2.4 GHz frequency band and one for operation in the 5 GHz frequency band. TEC Certification for Equipment operating in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Frequency Bands provides manufacturers with an opportunity to have their products independently tested and certified by the TEC to ensure compliance with these standards.
