Industry Notification: ISI / BIS Certification

Extension Granted for Revision of IS 3224:2002 to IS 3224:2021 for Valve Fittings for Compressed Gas Cylinders (Excluding LPG)

This update has been made regarding the revision of the Indian Standard (IS) 3224:2002 to IS 3224:2021 for Valve Fittings for Compressed Gas Cylinders (Excluding LPG). The guidelines for implementing this revision were communicated through note no. CMD-III/16: IS 3224 on January 21, 2022. Initially, the deadline for implementing the revised standard was set for December 22, 2022, which was later extended to December 22, 2023. In response to requests from manufacturers, the implementation deadline for IS 3224:2021 has been further extended to December 22, 2024. All Branch Offices have been instructed to inform Licensees/Applicants under their jurisdiction about this extension and ensure compliance with IS 3224:2021 by December 22, 2024.
