BIS Certification QCO for Domestic Use Insulated Flask Bottles and Containers

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has introduced a Quality Control Order (QCO) for the domestic use of insulated flask bottles and containers. This QCO encompasses three products designed for domestic use and falls under the Insulated Flask, Bottles, and Containers for Domestic Use (Quality Control) Order, 2023. The implementation timeline for compliance is outlined as follows: for Small Enterprises, as defined under the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 (27 of 2006), the order shall be implemented from 14th January 2024; for Micro Enterprises, as defined under the same Act, implementation is slated for 14th April 2024; and for Medium Enterprises, implementation is set for 14th July 2024. This directive aims to establish and maintain the quality standards of insulated flask bottles and containers used for domestic purposes, ensuring their adherence to prescribed specifications and contributing to consumer safety and satisfaction.
