These coolers must bear the Standard Mark, granted under a license from BIS in accordance with Scheme-1 of Schedule-II of the BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018. The implementation dates for compliance are as follows: These dates align with the classifications outlined in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006. The BIS will act as the certifying and enforcing authority for these products. Non-compliance with this order will be punishable under the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
