The Bureau of Indian Standards has introduced a significant update pertaining to the online processing of Critical Component List (CCL) updation requests specifically tailored for Solar PV Modules. This new feature enables manufacturers to seamlessly submit test reports in cases where there are alterations in the Bill of Materials for registered modules while ensuring that the model number remains unchanged. Licensees are strongly advised to meticulously verify the accuracy of the model number on the portal before initiating the online request submission process. Any discrepancies identified should be promptly communicated to the BIS for rectification before proceeding with the online submission. Upon submission of the CCL update request by the licensee, a thorough scrutiny process will be undertaken, and an acknowledgment will be issued within 5 working days, provided that all required documentation and product conformity standards are met satisfactorily in the initial instance. It is important for licensees to take note of the one-time relaxation granted regarding the acceptance of test reports for solar PV modules generated on or after 15-02-2024, which surpasses the standard 90-day time limit. Such requests for relaxation should be promptly communicated to the concerned department via email, citing specific reference numbers and details within 7 days from the issuance date of this circular, to be considered for acceptance.
