Industry Notification: ISI / BIS Certification

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has recently issued an Extension Order pertaining to four key standards in the textile sector: IS 9755:2021 for Textiles-High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)/Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging Fertilizers, IS 11652:2017 for Textiles-High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)/Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging of 50 kg Cement, IS 16709:2017 for Textiles-Polypropylene (PP) Woven, Laminated, Block Bottom Valve Sacks for Packaging of 50 kg Cement, and IS 17399:2020 for Textiles-Polypropylene (PP)/High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Laminated Woven Sacks for Mail Sorting, Storage, Transport, and Distribution. The Extension Order specifies that these standards will continue to be enforced, with the extension coming into force on the 6th September 2024, for all the mentioned products. This measure aims to ensure the continuity of quality standards and regulatory compliance within the textile industry, particularly concerning the production and utilization of woven sacks in diverse applications.
