The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has announced an extension regarding the filing of quarterly and annual returns under the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022. Responding to requests from industry associations and based on feedback from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the deadline for submitting these returns for the Financial Year (FY) 2023-24 has been extended from 30th June 2024 to 31st August 2024. This extension accommodates recyclers who are still in the process of entering production data for EPR Certificate generation, addressing issues such as system familiarity, data correction, and portal functionality concerns. During this extended period, activities related to EPR Certificate generation and transfer will also be facilitated through the EPR portal, ensuring compliance and streamlined operations in the E-waste management framework as per the E-Waste (Management) Amendment Rules, 2024.
