ISI / BIS Certification for Trapezoidal Steel Wire for Springs Washers

One kind of steel wire that has a trapezoidal cross-section is called trapezoidal steel wire. There are two parallel sides and two non-parallel sides to this shape. The non-parallel sides are usually slanted, while the parallel sides are usually horizontal. Trapezoidal steel wires are strong and flexible, making them useful in a variety of industries. They are useful parts in a variety of engineering and building projects because of their distinctive shape, which enables efficient load distribution.

It is true that spring washers—also referred to as Belleville washers or disc springs—can be made using trapezoidal steel wire. Under IS standard IS 12262: 1988, all Trapezoidal Steel Wire for Springs Washers is now required to be certified by the ISI.
