Industry Notification: BIS / CRS Registration

Amendment to Essential Requirements for CCTV Camera Under Compulsory Registration Scheme

A recent amendment has been established for Essential Requirements for CCTV Cameras under the Compulsory Registration Scheme. As outlined in the "Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirements for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021," these provisions will now be applicable to CCTV cameras. This notification specifies that six months after its publication in the Official Gazette, CCTV cameras must conform to the corresponding Essential Requirement(s) outlined in the document. According to the Scheme II of the BIS Conformity Assessment Regulations, 2018, the submission of test reports from BIS-recognized labs is mandated as a requirement for obtaining a license to use the Standard Mark. This amendment provides the required testing parameters that CCTV cameras must undergo and document submission to comply with the regulations set by the Bureau of Indian Standards.
