BIS / CRS Registration For IT & Electronics Products
These guidelines are issued to assist laboratories and manufacturers in creating a range of products for compliance with the "Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirements for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2012."
Within a single BIS Registration Application, it is possible to process up to 10 similar models (series models) of a single brand, as long as all the models adhere to the series guidelines. However, Set Top Boxes are an exception, as they can include multiple brands with up to 10 series models in a single BIS Registration Application. In the case of cells and batteries, it can encompass up to 20 series models, with one primary model and 19 additional ones.
